About Ghost Tutoring
Who are we?
Ghost Tutoring is a tutoring service offered by Westford Academy students who have proven specialized academic excellence in the sciences, mathematics, and the humanities.
We provide four main areas of academic assistance:
1. One-on-one Specialized Tutoring - help with classes, problem sets, general study habits, etc.
2. Group Seminar - test review or essay workshop for groups of 5+ students, led by request only
3. SAT Preparation - guidance, practice, and advice on how to tackle the Standardized Admission Test
4. Online Tutoring - students are offered the above opportunities via online tutoring on Skype as well.
In-School tutoring is always on Thursdays from 2:00 to 3:00 in the Library. Any other times are scheduled independently between tutor and student. There is no Tutoring during midterms, finals, AP Exam week, and half-days. In order to be matched up with a tutor, please email us on the Monday of AT THE LATEST! - we need time to find a match and work out a schedule with our tutors.
For those who seek online tutoring, our tutors can connect to you via Skype and Google Hangout. We offer one-on-one tutoring and SAT Prep. Online tutoring is scheduled exclusively between tutor and student. We offer this option to any student seeking tutoring assistance and cannot meet with a mentor in person; however students may be placed on a waitlist due to the limited roster of tutors available for this type of service.
Please be responsible for you tutoring appointments! We try our best to show up on time for you, so we would appreciate it if you showed up on time for us. If you cannot make it to a tutoring session, please contact your assigned tutor. If you miss a tutoring session without notice, we will remove you from the schedule until you sign up again.
Any personal inquiries can be made to Andy Shao at [email protected]
